God Shows UP!

OH the Name above all names is sweet and powerful!
Just a few minutes ago, a little boy was in the front lobby at school, throwing a tantrum. But his sobs sounded more like shrieks or heaves... he sounded just aweful. To me he sounded like he could have had a demon. This morning before school I prayed that God would use me to love on students today, and help me to follow the Holy Spirit. As I heard this boy crying, I remembered my prayer, and also remembered God's faithfulness, and how I've been longing to be used by Him. Without letting myself think too much about the whole situation, I got up and went out to the little boy. Other teachers just kinda looked at him, and didn't really know what to do, and his homeroom teacher had to go start her class. I crouched down (Japanese style) behind the shrieking boy and just starting rubbing his back and speaking the Name of Jesus over him. I said over and over "In the name of Jesus, have peace! In the name of Jesus have peace!" After he stopped screaming, I started telling this little boy that Jesus loves him. Over and over I said it. "Jesus loves you!"
The Name of Jesus is powerful, no matter what language it is spoken through. God desires to use His children, if we will just die to our selfish pride and our own agendas, and we will follow the Holy Spirit. I think the HS usually asks us to do bogus things, that are only possible with God!
Once again, God SHOWED UP in a Japanese elementary school, and calmed a little heart.
PRAISE God for His faithfulness and ability to use anyone, even us- the worst of all sinners.
1 Timothy 1:15-16 "HEre is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners- of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life." ~ We were shown grace and patience so that we might also display those qualities to other people, and hope for their salvation too.

I am hoping and praying for the salvation of my students.
